Marcia Hubelbank

is a trained Montessori educator and consultant who will help you develop a sustainable parenting, teaching, or caregiving style - and support you to stick with it!

Marcia’s services are designed for:

What does it mean to understand the nature of childhood?

Maybe you have years of experience with children. Or maybe you’re completely new to this. Whatever your experience level, Understanding the Nature of Childhood believes that understanding childhood is a life-long journey, and that we are never done learning.

More often than not, unwanted behavior from a child can be addressed by changing our own behavior. Children are very sensitive, and slight changes in our tone of voice, body language, or words can have a big impact on them.

Drawing upon current research, Montessori principles, and Marcia’s own experience teaching children and adults, Understanding the Nature of Childhood offers insights and support to deepen your relationship with the infant to school-age child in your life. Since this magical stage of development has a profound life-long influence, Understanding the Nature of Childhood is dedicated to helping caregivers better understand children in ways that foster competence, self-reliance, and joy.

"If there is anything we wish to change in the child, we should first examine it and see whether it is not something that could better be changed in ourselves.”

- Carl Jung -
